Design Engineering

Technical designers work alongside architects and engineers to deliver workable buildings or products. They transform concepts and ideas into tangible objects that add value. Designers often have to work outside the box in a flexible manner, and deliver innovation to deal with new problems.

Each specialism is being impacted by environmental objectives, and designing in “green” solutions that use sustainable materials and help to reduce energy consumption and waste. This means new methods of construction need to be devised, new materials designed and tested, and new processes drawn up. Modular construction is one such approach which helps to limit waste and make the building process more efficient.
Technical designers cover all aspects of a build: HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), fire systems, M&E, BIM and mobile telecoms. And we recruit for them all.
